The October 6, 2026 demo
The official Steam demo launches October 6, 2026. It was announced through Steam news alongside confirmed systems: the reworked fishing mechanic, Fishing Skill Tree, Ship Upgrade Skill Tree, Hull Armour Mk I, engine variants, fish storage upgrade, roof-mounted lantern, ship maintenance, the Grappling Hook Gun, the Harpoon Launcher, lockpicking, radio, and the day/night cycle.
The demo is not the release. The full game is only announced for a Q4 2026 window — do not treat October 6 as launch day.

The September Open Playtest has ended
An official Open Playtest ran September 10–14, 2026. Two facts matter going forward:
- It required fresh saves, and test progress does not carry over to the demo or the full game — the developers said so explicitly.
- Its content is historical. The official rework touched the quest chain, region design, fish, dialogue, tutorial, and the fishing mechanic. Guides built on playtest behavior are obsolete.
If you played the test: expect the demo to feel meaningfully different, and start clean.

⚠️ Specs may still change before launch
Some cached Steam pages still show older DirectX 11 / RTX 3070 figures — those are outdated. The table above follows the current main store page, and we re-verify it regularly. Earlier focus-test announcements also listed different CPU suggestions; official store requirements win.
Platforms: PC / Steam only, for now
Only PC via Steam is confirmed. There is no announced PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or VR version — pages promising those are speculation. Steam features confirmed on the store page: Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing, with the game marked Single-player.
Price: not announced
The Steam page shows no price yet. Any price you see anywhere is speculation until Dream Dock or Digital Vortex Entertainment says otherwise.
Wishlists and languages
The 400,000+ wishlist milestone comes from the developers' official Steam announcement on September 4, 2026. The store supports 12 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil), Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Polish, Russian, and Japanese — with full voice acting in English and Russian; the rest are UI + subtitles.
